Degrees and Certifications:
My love for Jesus Christ, my wife and family, children, has created a passion for serving Sevier County for the past twenty five years. I was raised in Sevier County and I have served as a principal, an assistant principal, an athletic director, a teacher, a coach, an educational author, presenter, and consultant. My service has taken me through primary, elementary, middle, high school, and college levels of teaching and learning, along with helping many schools and districts throughout our nation learn core building blocks for creating outstanding school cultures.
I graduated from Sevier County High School and went on to earn my Bachelors degree from King College in Bristol, Tennessee. I then furthered my education at Lincoln Memorial University, where I earned my Masters and Educational Specialist degrees, and then at East Tennessee State University, earning my Doctor of Education and Educational Administration.
My family and I are active members at First Baptist Church, Sevierville. We serve the Sevier County community through coaching baseball, basketball, and tennis. I am blessed with a fantastic wife, Julie, who is also a teacher in the Sevier County School System. along with three children Joslin, Jenna, and Jackson who all attend Sevier County Schools and who are active in our community.
My vision for Sevierville Primary School is to build on the foundations laid, and to grow our school, using common sense, growing teacher leaders, and providing a safe, stable, and clean environment where students and teachers can flourish.
